Local Authorities

We offer local authorities a rapid assessment process. On receipt of papers, the local authority will be informed by the admissions coordinator within 48 hours, as to whether or not a place could be potentially suitable and whether or not a place is available.

The admissions coordinator, or another member of the admissions panel, will then carry out an initial assessment which will involve observing the pupil at their current placement or at home and gathering information from their teacher or parent/carer. Following this, the admissions panel will decide if they are suitable for a place and will invite them in to the school for a 'sit in' of between 1 and 3 days, depending on the complexity of the pupil’s needs.

Following this, the Head teacher will be able to make a decision on whether the school could meet the pupil’s needs and will write to the local authority informing them of this. The final assessment will be completed within 7 days of that confirmation.

If an Eagle House Group placement is not suitable for a potential student, we will be happy to offer suggestions for alternative provision.
