'the little group PLUS'
School is not child’s play for everyone! Going to 'Big School' for a small child can be a big deal
Are you worried about your child’s inability to:
- attend and behave
- sit and listen

- follow adult-led directions

We are a specialist Early Years Centre with 20 years’ experience in supporting children into school.
Our programme, initially developed for children with autism, has now been developed to support mainstream 2 to 4 year olds and 4 to 6 year olds who may have some difficulties with:
- attention and listening
- sitting and concentrating
- playing
- talking to their friends
For those children who need a little extra help to settle into nursery or school, ‘the little group’ PLUS programme offers a boost for your child’s learning skills using specialist techniques that make learning irresistible, whatever your child's level of ability.
Through highly structured interactive sessions we can improve a child’s ability to listen, lend their attention and learn. We are experts in social interaction and communication, which includes problem-solving those moments when your child feels unsure in situations with their friends or with adults.
We are here to help children access education and become confident, healthy, happy school learners. In small groups, our practitioners will work to deliver an exciting curriculum designed to switch your child on and motivate them to learn.
What are we offering?
Starting from just 6 sessions, our little group+ programme can help your child to be a better team player and a happier school learner!
‘Switch on to school’
This is our 6-session course for 4 to 6 year olds. Sessions are available after school (3.45 to 5.45pm) and Saturday mornings (10am to 12 noon). During these sessions we will support your child to learn the basic skills needed in order to succeed in school. There will be an emphasis on motivating your child to be in the right place at the right time, doing the right thing! Above all we want to teach your child that learning can be fun!
‘Getting ready for school’
This is our 6-session course for 2 to 4 year olds. Sessions are available for 2 afternoons per week (1-3pm). During these sessions we will support your child to increase their independence and build their confidence in learning. We aim to equip your child with the necessary skills for coping with the big step to big school!
When do we start?
Our courses for 2012 run twice a week (term time only) including after school and Saturday mornings for school attenders. Sessions are delivered by experts in attention and behaviour.

We run a Free Introductory Session for parents every Thursday morning from 10am until 12noon, from 2nd February 2012 onwards.
