Stowford College to Close July 2010
More Places for Children with High Functioning Autism & Asperger's Syndrome
Eagle House Group has announced that Stowford College with be closing at the end of the 2010 academic year.
Eagle House Group acquired Stowford College in September 2008 with the intention of developing the school as an independent mainstream school with specialist support for young people with an autistic spectrum disorder and specific learning difficulties. However despite all best efforts over the course of the last 18 months, this has not been possible.
Stowford College currently shares one site with Eagle House School, Sutton which will remain open. Eagle House Autism School, Sutton will be expanded to offer specialist education for young people from across the entire autistic spectrum including those with high-functioning autism and Asperger’s syndrome.
